The Fisher Man’s House – Sveti Klement – Hvar

The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful setting, surrounded by a small pine forest, vineyards, orchards, and olive groves. It offers a variety of fish specialties, all prepared in traditional Dalmatian style, combined with Central European cuisine. The owner fishes every morning and has an organic fruit and vegetable garden. They produce their own house wine, homemade olive oil, limoncello, and schnapps. The tuna sashimi is the best we’ve ever had; you should definitely try it!

Our tips:

We highly recommend making a reservation; the restaurant is quite popular. If they don’t accept credit cards, bring some cash. You definitely have to try the tuna sashimi and their homemade limoncello.

How to get there:

If you are lucky enough to be sailing the Adriatic on your own yacht, be sure to reserve a spot on the restaurant’s buoy field using the MySea app.

For those who don’t sail:

The easiest way to reach the restaurant is by water taxi from Hvar Town. Ask at the port; boats run regularly. Water taxi cost around €6 round trip; make sure the boat goes to your chosen Pakleni island! Alternatively, if you feel comfortable, you can rent your own motorboat. Ask a local agency for more details. Most agencies require a motorboat license.

Mooring:

If you’d like to dine at the restaurant, you can reserve one of their buoys for the night using the MySea app. The buoys are located in Vlaka Bay on the northern side of Sv. Klement Island.

Tiha lounge bar – Stari Grad – Hvar

Tiha is a beautiful beach bar with a sunbathing and swimming area. Every aspect of this restaurant perched on a rocky shoreline evokes positive thoughts. There’s so much to discover and admire; from the wooden table and chairs set in the shallow, turquoise sea, to the four double sun loungers arranged on shelves, the open terrace, and the relaxed bar surrounded by sturdy wooden dining tables and hidden hammocks… all with spectacular views of the open sea. It’s a charming spot for an evening drink, lunch, or a romantic dinner. The food is fresh, Croatian, well-cooked, and perfectly presented.

Our tips:

We recommend making a reservation if you want to stay for dinner; it gets quite busy. If they don’t accept credit cards, bring some cash. Bring a swimsuit and a beach towel. They might come in handy if you want a quick dip. It’s definitely worth taking a stroll around the area.

How to get there:

For those traveling by sailboat, there’s a lovely buoy area just behind the restaurant. You can book using the MySea app.

For those who don’t sail:

The restaurant can be reached by land (rent a scooter or take a taxi). It’s a 20-minute drive from the nearest town, Stari Grad. The best way to appreciate the restaurant’s location is by water taxi or rental car.

Mooring:

You can moor at one of the buoys near the restaurant or at Stari Grad Port, which is a 20-minute drive away. Book using the MySea app or simply call the marina reception.

Pasarela – Rogač – Šolta

Pasarela Restaurant is a very romantic local restaurant with its own little waterfront. It has a stunning location and a terrace with incredible views right on the shore. Right on the shore and built into the rocks, you almost feel like you’re sitting on a table floating above the blue water. This is the place to experience authentic Dalmatian cuisine.

Our tips:

It’s a good idea to make a reservation, especially if you want to sit on the terrace. Mooring is available right behind the restaurant on their small quay, but we recommend paying attention to the depth. If the draft exceeds 2 meters, you should consider stopping at a nearby port. We don’t recommend anchoring in the bay due to the waves.

How to get there:

If you’re renting a boat and your mooring is in Rogač, the restaurant is just a short walk away. Another option is to moor in Maslinica at the Martinis Marchi marina or at the buoy bay in the nearby bay, which is a 15-minute drive from the restaurant.

For those not on a cruise, there are ferries from Split to Rogač. This route is currently operated by two companies (Jadrolinija and Krilo Shipping Company), which run approximately six times daily during the season.

Mooring:

In Rogač there is a port, a small pier belonging to a restaurant (for small motor boats or yachts with a maximum draft of 2 meters) and an anchorage.

Laganini Lounge Bar & Fish House – Palmižana – Hvar

This lounge bar is one of the most luxurious spots in Croatia. It’s the perfect place for an evening drink in comfortable, wooden, boho-style waterfront booths overlooking the sea. Simply head there with friends and enjoy the beautiful view while enjoying a relaxing sunset.

Our tips:

Laganini is our recommendation for drinks only. It’s definitely a pleasant experience in a beautiful setting. We don’t recommend going there for dinner. It’s quite expensive. This place is very popular, so reservations are required. If they don’t accept credit cards, bring some cash. The bar is located on the beach, so bring your swimsuit.

How to get there:

If you are sailing the Adriatic on your own yacht, be sure to book a spot on the Vinogradisće Buoy Field using the MySea app.

For those who don’t sail:

The easiest way to reach the restaurant is by water taxi from Hvar Town. Ask at the port; boats run regularly. Water taxi cost around €6 round-trip; make sure the boat goes to your chosen Pakleni island! Alternatively, if you feel comfortable, you can rent your own motorboat. Inquire with a local agency for more details. Most agencies require a motorboat license.

Kapetanovo Lozje- Milna – Brač

This small, rustic restaurant nestled in the hills, nestled in an olive grove, is a 20-minute walk from the ACI Marina Milna. The walk from the marina is definitely worth it, winding through olive groves and stone walls. The restaurant serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine that’s worth the wait. Pleasant outdoor seating near a sheep pasture offers an authentic Croatian dining experience.

Our tips: We recommend making a reservation; it can get quite crowded. They don’t accept credit cards. We suggest taking a taxi to the restaurant and then walking back. We think the 20-minute walk is a must if you want to truly experience this incredible place and see the beautiful sky full of stars.

How to get there:

For sailors: The restaurant is located a 20-minute walk from Milna Harbor, on the higher point of Brač Island. You can walk or take a taxi from the marina.

For non-sailors:

There’s a Jadrolinija ferry that runs 14 times a day from Split to Supetar on the island of Brač. The rest of the way can be covered by taxi or scooter, which can be rented on the island. It’s also possible to rent a motorboat (with a sailing license) or take a water taxi.

Mooring:

Milna has two marinas to choose from: ACI Marina Milna and Marina Milna Kanarija (the cheaper option).
